Job Description : As an integral member of the customer design engineering team, the Customer Design Engineer support to the company's staff, customers and peers, on complex issues such as packaging, chip floor planning, place and route, UPF based power implementation flow , timing analysis, signal integrity, test, and design verification. Uses wide ranging and in depth experience during analysis of situations or data that may require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Position incumbent will exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
The candidate needs to understand the high speed I/O interface timing requirements and implement them in Physical design. Work with the Designers to understand the timing relationships of synchronous/source synchronous /asynchtronous timing paths
Contribute in audits/reviews and work with the team and design manager to achieve timely and high quality deliverable
As part of customer engineering design team, you will be responsible for all aspects of SoC physical implementation from RTL to GDS . Candidate will also be involved in chip floorplaning, power analysis, full chip integration, timing closure, and physical verification (DRC/LVS/ERC/Antenna), tapeout and mask review. Candidate will also participate in establishing and defining Power implementation methodologies and flow automation. Experience should be focused on SoC design implementation. Must be comfortable in Unix, proficient in Perl, Cshell, and tcl scripting
