RECRUITMENT OF ON CONTRACT BASIS
Applications are invited for appointment to the post of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) – 1 and Junior Engineer (Electrical) – 1 on contract basis in Cochin Port Trust at a consolidated salary of Rs.17,330/- per month. The appointment will be on contract basis and the selected candidates will not have any claim for regular appointment in Cochin Port Trust.
1. Junior Engineer (Mechanical) – one (1) post on contract basis.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Govt. OR a Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Govt. with 3 years post qualification experience in the level of supervisory capacity in a State/Central Govt. Organization or a firm registered under Indian companies Act.
Upper Age Limit: 35 years as on 01-11-2013.
2. Junior Engineer (Electrical) – One (1) post on contract basis.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Govt. OR a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Govt. with 3 years post qualification experience in the level of supervisory capacity in a State/Central Govt. Organization or a firm registered under Indian companies Act. Upper Age Limit: 35 years as on 01-11-2013.
Duties and Responsibilities of Junior Engineer(Mechanical) and Junior Engineer(Electrical):
1. Operation and maintenance of Fixed fire fighting system in Oil Handling Terminal
2. Supervise maintenance related activities of the terminal
3. Liaison with Traffic Dept., Fire section of Cochin Port Trust and various Tank Farm operators to ensure smooth functioning of the terminal.
4. Take operational trials of the fixed fire fighting system in co-ordination with Fire section.
Applicants should submit complete Bio-Data along with attested copies of the document to prove age, qualifications, experience etc. through post/courier. Those who are employed shall forward the application through proper channel. The Port reserves the right to short list applications for interview based on merit.
