Job Description: "The IBM CIO Lab team develops innovations for our large global employee population and created IBM's award winning intranet, introduced instant messaging, blogging, social networking, idea generation applications and well as more recent App Store, mobility and security innovations.
Our team of innovators works closely with IBM Research and our development labs to showcase and test new technologies, methods and services. Our current focus areas include Analytics, Mobility, Security, Green IT and Enterprise Agility. Our team works closely with IBM Research, Software Group and CIO colleagues to understand client opportunities and develop solutions that can be tested and refined at IBM.
Our local Pune team is currently focused on enterprise analytics and providing employees with more effective question answering and information discovery systems, using IBM's Watson DeepQA technology. We are looking for passionate lead innovators with experience in natural language processing (NLP), content analytics, large scale analytics, search and document management systems. Successful candidates should have a degree in computer science or equivalent with 7- 10 years of experience in the software development. An aptitude for innovation, problem solving, and collaboration is a must. The ability to work nimbly and independently, even with rapidly evolving requirements. Knowledge of technologies relating to storing and analyzing large data sets is a major plus.
Required Skills: Technical Lead, Java / J2EE / Web development RDBMS using any major vendor, but especially DB2. Open Source frameworks Knowledge of technologies relating to large scale data storage and analysis, such as Hadoop, Hbase, UIMA Excellent communication, presentation & leadership skills is a must English: Fluent Required Skills - Technical and Non Technical Good leadership, communication & presentation skills.
